Prime Rayleigh has zero feats and Wh pairets were fighting against Roger pirates equally for hours and people go as far as to say that he was holding back, but why? Why would he? Aren't Roger and Whitbeard rivals? Rayleigh has the same hype as Don Chinjao and he was oneshoted by Garp in his Prime compared to Oden who was hyped similarly to Big Mom, was compared to Rocks crew members by Whitbeard himself, was compared to Roger and Whitbeard, almost killed Kaido, achieved samthing that no one ever did "scarred Kaido", withstood the boiling of oil for an hour while holding the scabbards but still, Rayleigh>Oden because we want so.
I'm probably the biggest fan of Rayleigh in this forum but even I don't put him that high, one thing we know for sure is that the gap between the captain and his strongest falowers is big, if we expect Roger to be little bit stronger than the Yonko then Rayleigh should be little bit stronger than Yonko's strongest falowers.
This is the problem whit this community...

I'm pretty sure Oda intented for that panel to look like the "Monster trio" of the Roger crew, he won't specifically state that in the panel lmao
How obvious can it be? Roger is gold/captain, Rayleigh the silver/second and Scopper the bronze/third, doesn't need a surgeon brain to figure that out

The PK parallels seem ridiculous, but atm I can personally see the parallels (not in design per say, but personality or prior history) between Akainu and his 3 admirals:
Akainu w/ Luffy: Obviously a future conflict
Fujitora w/ Zoro: The only confirmed swordsman out of the 4 (not counting Kizaru's light blade really, its just a move). They clashed already at one point.
Kizaru w/ Jinbe: Kizaru was used to purposefully ignite fishman hatred for humans. Kizaru also used Arlong as a means to manipulate Jinbe into joining the Shichibukai. Would be interesting.
Ryokugyu w/ Sanji: Apparently cooked Fujitora's food (its implied), hasn't ate in 3 years (the antithesis of Sanji), is a ladies man based on his dialogue.
Idk, fun to think about but I can see it 100% there with the Admirals.

First off, there was a looting contest. Oda knew he had no conceivable way to show how the WBP would survive a true fight with the RP, so he had to off panel it. By the state of the island it's clear there was no serious fighting going on there. WB, someone who can wipe out islands was fighting his equal there and no damage had been done. WB raising his voice a bit, caused the seas and islands to tilt later on.
WB and Roger both state that the other should drop all of his valuables and leave
The Roger Pirates say that they are gonna take everything the WBP got
Ray himself says that the attempt to pillage each other became a gift exchange
All of it was off panel and not serious. Ray looked like he didn't even participate in it. There isn't a scratch on him.

I'd expect gap between Ray/Gaban to be similar to your avg gap between RH/LH, Marco/Joz, King/Queen, Kata/Smoothie, Ben/Roo etc. So a sub tier gap is fair, I presume?
Nothing to do with Sanji, so I don't understand the pre conceived insecurity? Scopper is not Sanji's parallel, he's simply Roger's left hand man. No more or less.

If you think Oda wasted good chunk of panel time and dialogues on him (in a tightly packed, fast pace flashback) to build some irrelevant fodder character, randomly, seriously get help lol.
