You are talking about meta like it never changes.
I know town can have a wrong use on meta but scum benefits the most from it.

Do you know what's the difference between 'normal' and the way every single game is played?

Yes meta can change but it's meta for a reason. It means that a player played enough times in a certain way with a certain alignment to be considered the standard behaviour and modus operandis of that particular player.

If the way a player engaged the game were as volatile as you're implying then meta and its definition wouldn't exist in the first place.

I would first consider any first changes in this deviation as AI than the player changing his way of playing due to the above.
