Btw don't know if this has been discussed yet, but what do y'all think is at play here?
Reckon sommers is the one that animated those doodles but do you think it's simply a case of him animating drawings and making them a reality or is said ability able to manifest nightmares into reality? 🤔
Regardless though this ability opens room for a lot of possibilities. For instance, if it's the earlier, then Sommers might be able to make the monsters in the murals reality . If so we'd have what has been missing in this arc, which is the main arc antagonist.
If it's later then he might be able to manifest the SHs greatest fears into reality which could be pretty interesting.
Could get potential matchups like Sanji v Stealth Black, Luffy v Akainu etc.

Only for him to lose to Usopp who has the most experience in fighting his fears to be the one to beat him.

I feel like that’s going to be a Perona type mid arc fight for the monster trio before they fight their main opponents.

Zoro's would be failure on the WSS path
Jinbe's - maybe never ending racism against fishmen?
Even for Sanji I can't think of a person he outright fears. Maybe Zeff, but more in a "dad will kick my ass" way than being afraid of him as a monster?

Oh the Nika wankfest is coming next chapter when Sommers creates a Nika from Gunkos fear who will rampage on Elbaf lmao

Was thinking potentially Kuina for Zoro but not sure how that'd work tbh
Sanji and Luffy are the easiest to predict though.
In Luffy's case his most traumatic experience till date was Ace's death so Akainu is a good shout I reckon and in Sanji's his biggest fear is him losing himself to Germa, so psychotic Stealth Black fits ^^

I hear you ^^ but don't think Oda's gonna give us Zoro v Mihawk now. Feel like it'd somewhat take away from the actual duel whenever it happens. For example if Zoro beats Nightmare Mihawk then how would that affect our perception of how Zoro v Mihawk will actually go? but I guess you could say the same about Luffy v Akainu for instance in which case, maybe Black Nika as Luffy's opponent? lol
