the only read bad yonko crew is the beast pirates

WBP are dope
BMP are quite good : theme, design, territory, powers etc
Blackbeard pirate are cool too : the 10 captains are fun and we have been following them for a long time
RHP are okay too, Ben is cool
Cross Guild is cool too : Buggy, Croco, Mihawk, M3 etc etc

only Kaido crew is really a let down and unimpressive as fuck. I’m not talking about power level. Just totally forgettable

There was potential for the Beast Pirates, far more than what happened in the manga, but Oda neglected them and Kaido in favor of his golden boy Oden, Momonosuke, Orochi and the Scabbards (who are too many) while also putting Big Mom and two additional Supernovas antagonists in Wano with very poor results.

It's one of my biggest grievances toward Wano arc.

What happened with Kaido and Big Mom and their crews is the biggest proof of Oda's biggest weakness, he can do a great job at building and hyping things up, only to screw up monumentally with the execution when the time for the big battle finally come due to his lack of real planning, his overuse of plot armor and PIS and him focusing too much on side characters being also factors in that disaster.

I think Oda himself knows how much potential the crew had, but he never brought out that potential until it was too late. That's why we're only getting stuff like Hanafuda being Kaido's partner and the father of Ulti and Page One now.

I don't dislike the WBP but they need more personality beyond being loyal to their "father" and more dynamics between its members. Same for the Red Hair Pirates.
