AM and Tyk i just dont think there's enough there. Stargate is in a similar boat where they just haven't done much

You forgot Mango in the execution. I think that Luka seems to be a too easy option here. If they had to put one of their own into the mix like my team did in Harry Potter game then I doubt they would choose Luka as he's too likely to get the most votes compared to the others. Imo if scum had to pick a scum player they'd probably choose Mango instead.
Or it was really just the outed indie who picked five players without having a clue of which alignment those players have, in that case it could turn out that all five of them might be town, or having an indie in it at least.
I'm so good at mafia because I'm not such a simple mind who just jumps on a train that looks like a trap.
