Chapter Discussion Elbaf pacing is horrible

I keep seeing a lot of people saying how Elbaf got off to a better start than many arcs, when in reality this arc has gotten off to the slowest start.

We're almost 20 chapters in, and neither Luffy nor the others have had a serious confrontation with anyone.
For Egghead, by this point, the SH had already faced CP0, the Seraphim, Law vs. BB, we knew Kizaru and Saturn were coming, Shanks vs. Kid, and in subsequent chapters, we had external events with Garp/Kuzan/Imu, etc.

By this point (18 chapters in), Luffy and Kaido had their clash in Wano, Luffy had already faced Cracker in WCI, and Luffy was already in the coliseum fighting while Law vs. Doflamingo vs. Fujitora was going on in Dressrosa.

Sabaody only lasted 20 chapters, and we know everything that happened.

It's been almost 20 chapters and Luffy hasn't faced anyone, and everything indicates we'll enter a kind of FB in the following chapters. And what's worse, I don't find the villains the most interesting. It's cp0 again, only that time we tolerated it because we knew a gorosei and an admiral were on their way. Loki was the last hope and look how he ended up, chained again like 15 chapters ago.

Faster pace would be worse... As an old anime and manga reader I've seen things turn to shit, for example, Dragon Ball Super is an obnoxious piece of garbage compared to the first Dragon Ball. The time spent building it's characters is way shorter than it used to be, which makes it way more unsubstantial. I know younger generations have shorter spawn of attention and issues with patience, my recommendation if that's the case is to wait until there's enough to read. Theoretically a manga should be read in volumes or in magazines with other series in it to compensate for it's shortness.

What does any of that have to do with poor pacing? There were "serious" fights with little to no exposition relative to what we've received so far in Elbaf

The only part you could argue was poorly paced (I'd argue it could be taken out entirely) is the lego section

Outside of that everything else has been fine. We've learned more about Elbaf's current culture, Harald, Loki's reputation, the Holy Knights have begun their attack, etc

I find your inclusion of Wano as an example to be hilarious too. Wano has the worst pacing by far on the list and it isn't particularly close. If anything it looks like Elbaf is shaping up to be a short arc relatively speaking

Wait until we found out the revs are coming, the 5 gorosei are pullin up again, Kid and Law arrives, the heaven world etc...

Oda has this weird thing to drag the second part, and If I'm being honest, I don't think the HK are the Main villains. I think a full scale war is coming, this is Elbaf after all, Ragnarok has to happen. This is going to be a bigger arc than WCI for sure.

We remember back in Egghead when we all though that was a simple escaping arc, it was an escape arc alright, but Saturn arrived, Kuma arrived, the giants, the bb pirates, the gorosei, VP message, Emeth...

This only makes me realised again Egghead shit slow placing......Elbaf pacing so far is fine,
Compared to Egghead, will still be in the introductory part of the arc without some lore, reveal and tiny action
We don't see many places yet in Elbaf where i supposed there would be lots of historic places and a worth seeing of the world building, we instantly went to plot.

It'll be way more fascinating if Oda exposed more of Elbaf body land and their culture than a fking Wano and those goofy future island robots......
