3 years ago I started predicting that Shiryu would feed Kaido's DF to his sword. Many reasons for that, won't list them all here.
Shiryu is too weak for current Zoro, yet he will face a Zoro that will have grown to even greater heights. As he is right now, it wouldn't be an exciting fight. He stabbed Garp, but only because Garp ran into the blade to protect Koby.
Garp still didn't take him seriously. It was clear to everyone that Shiryu wouldn't follow up on it.
The 50 year old Shiryu has less potential to get stronger by just working on himself. He won't get a new sowrd, he likes the one he has, almost in an erotic way. He already ate a Devilfruit. Only thing left is to give a Devilfruit to his sword.
Spandam tried that, to make up for a lack of strength with a Devilfruit sword
It didn't work
So many considered them more curiosities than serious weapons. With Shamrock's introduction, that view is not sustainable anymore.
On top of that, a Titanic Captain already has a sort of DF weapon already. Doc Q's horse ate the mythical Pegasusfruit.
If the Blackbeard Pirates feed such a valuable fruit to that frail horse, beloning to the even frailer doctor, they will procure a Mythical Zoan for Shiryu too.
In my view, Raiu will eat the Seiryu fruit. Zoro, like his ancestor Ryuma, will defeat a Dragon. ZKK was just postponed!!! Or maybe not, he just has to defeat Shiryu, not sure whether he breaks the sword too.
Kiringham's DF would also be great. Should be one of the two Dragonfruits. ShiRYU's name speaks for itself.
