Thank you so much, it's extremely painful, heartbreaking, it feels like I've lost a loved one basically, I'm grieving hard. I lost my grandmother almost 2 years ago now but it feels a lot longer and what I'm going through with my "friends" is giving me that same kind of pain and grief even though they're still alive, I'm just "dead to them" effectively, ironically I feel like a "ghost" to them and they are slowly "ghosting me" over time (its ironic as my main nickname is actually Ghostly lmao).
Aye Tekking! That's exactly it, he had the most sincere enthusiam and passion for the series aside from Drizzt, they were like yin and yang for me LMAO. Both of them really love the series but have totally different energy towards it and thus actions, perspectives and such. Kinda like how overwhelmingly different Naruto and Sasuke are to each other and yet they can deeply understand one another and have some similarities where it really matters too.
I stopped watching Tekking sometime after he started doing the "Barry the Brick" stuff but I saw some funny stuff with him especially his whole "not a furry arc" like
@Mr. Reloaded here ofc and ironically it was due to Carrot and bunnies, so it makes me wonder if Tekking is just Mr Reloaded or
@Pot Goblin as both of them are really chill and funny too, wholesome people that don't cause drama and fights and just are widely beloved or is it just hilarious, serendipitious coincidence?
I'm so glad Tekking got his own place now though and thus a "proper room" or even "studio" for his video making and he's blown up IMMENSELY in subscribers since I used to watch him, its INSANE! Completely deserved too and the fact he even raises hundreds or even thousands every year for St Jude Children's Hospital too! I'm assuming he still does that ofc, as he used to do it every Christmas?
On that note, I’ve actually seen Tekking be incredibly kind and empathetic toward a very niche One Piece YouTuber who was meeting him for the first time. I don’t want to say too much because it might give away who I was ranting about earlier, but something really embarrassing happened to this YouTuber, and Tekking was the only one in the group who genuinely supported him instead of laughing or making fun of him. Looking back on it years later, I’ve gained so much respect for Tekking because of that. As someone who was always bullied and ostracized growing up, I really appreciated seeing that kind of kindness.
Ironically, I was involved in memeing about the situation too—it was honestly pretty hilarious, given the timing of the current One Piece story and the characters involved. The YouTuber was a friend of mine, and I was even modding for him at the time. Thankfully, he took all the slander and memes in stride, and it made for some unforgettable laughs. I could tell you the whole story, but I don't want to give away too much, though I promise it was absolutely hilarious. We were in tears of laughter for ages!
Tekking was really respectful to him unlike the others, even though they were LEAGUES apart in popularity and he wasn't being elitist towards the guy passively like they were, due to the fact he was a "nobody" and thus barely had subscribers and viewers compared to them especially and he didn't have that all "fancy", "professional" setup they had and thus their pretentious facades too. He was just a down to earth guy who REALLY LOVES One Piece just as much as Tekking does and has the FUNNIEST TO GOD reactions I've ever seen, think like Uzumaki Khan but not as loud and screamy but still a bit of chaos and very Luffy or Chopper-like IRL or something.
