Giants allied with Nika in the second world so seems to me like the WG tried to pull one over Nika by utilizing Harald in a way.
Folks assumed that the Holy Knights asked Loki to join them as they are tryna strengthen their forces but wonder if them asking Loki to join them was out of courtesy for Harald or maybe a promise they made to him to at least spare one of his sons. In which case the special bounty on Loki's head might be somewhat similar to the "only alive" bounty the WG put on Sanji's head coz of Judge.

Harald could've been a means by which they planned to manipulate the Giant populace to join their side and considering everybody seemed to love Harald it would've been a strong possibility. I do wonder if the Nika being the god of destruction thing is also some sort of propaganda the WG have spread over the decades to kinda to make it easier to manipulate the giants.

Harald seems like an interesting character in the grey zone (not necessarily black or white) so looking forward to getting to know about his motivations and seeing his backstory.

Harold was probably Garp of giants, this kind of characters usually like that.

You’re vastly overestimating those two. Killingham isn’t awakened that’s just his Zoan form like Yamato.

The agenda piece is thinking these randoms are beating an old legend. Look at Odas treatment of Ray Garp and Whitebeard and you think Gabans falling to rose man and sleepy the dragon?

Of course they’ll save the day, but these 3 knights aren’t a big enough issue on their own. Oda doesn’t right big bass this way. Hell none of these villains seem at all like viable fights for Luffy which means reinforcements are guaranteed to be coming.

There's also sommers asking sham if they were here to visit Harold's grave.

That's not something you do for people you don't know or your enemies. That's something you do for your allies.

And the way he said it this chapter feels like he's admonishing harold for not doing a better job. Meaning harold was tasked with it.


I think, Harold was a traitor at first. But, sometime before he actually died, he came to his senses. And he understood that if the wg get the warrior nation version of elbaf, its game over for the rest of the world. So he basically mandated elbaf to become more peaceful and tried to make the next generation passive. All the while still keeping his cover as a wg agent. But, imu somehow learned of his betrayal and did something to him to make him go berserk.

Which is when Loki comes in. Harold with his last semblance of sanity, asked Loki to kill him. Loki did that. But Jarul, who was supposed to prove Loki's innocence, got stabbed in the head and lost his memories. When he came to, he saw Loki standing over Harold's body, and Loki basically became the father killer.


This way, Harold gets redeemed, Loki is good guy, and Jarul is also good.

Classic oda style story telling.
