After reading various translations I’m a bit torn on this

Urek isn’t a human he’s essentially a God in its infant stages and the last hope of a divine race

He’s tasked with taking out Phantaminium who’s the physical manifestation of the will of the darkness on the Outside

In terms of scale it pretty much makes the entire story of ToG feel kinda irrelevant

Dunno if I’m a fan of Urek’s origin story but I do think it could be interesting to see his development throughout the side story

Especially since it’s heavily implied that in the current story he doesn’t actually care about avenging his people. He wants to get out instead of continuing the climb in search of Phantaminium

Well, this basically sets up a continuation of the plot after Baam is done climbing the Tower.

True, but I'm not a big fan of SIU making Urek a godly being

It's kinda lame tbh

Now we know why he came in so strong and is above most other irregulars. He isn't just an irregular human like the rest but he's also a pseudo deity that's destined to battle a God

I like the concept/plot I just don't like the inclusion of Urek specifically. He doesn't feel as unique to me anymore

Before he felt like an irregular that decided to take a different path. A completely different approach to the Tower compared to the irregulars that came before him

Now he's different because he's literally not the same as them

I'm cool with it. Urek true story is clearly meant to be concluded outside the Tower. Him being a deity doesn't really change much in the Tower. He isn't at Phantaminum level yet. His background mirrors Baam's actually. They are both meant to take down beings considered as gods in their respective settings.

Yuri defended Zahard from lets say the God itself and a couple of times dominated over the second most powerful being Urek. So Yuri is the true number one in the universe. Stronger than anything and anyone.

He never was the same if you check his feats.
