Joker was insane though, 42 points and 22 rebounds 😭. He really should be the MVP again.

Nuggets have a shot if Thunder can’t get momentum for the next games. I’d bet on Denver in a close series or a game 7, they have more experience and confidence in that situation.

he can be the best player overall and not be the MVP

I think Shai should be MVP this season even if I think Jokic is a better player

Shai season and OKC level this year was top notch
Yeah but Shai has the better team, Joker is a better player and much more important to the Nuggets. Joker is single-handedly making the Nuggets a contender and they‘re now in the semis down their previous head coach. He’s doing everything, clearly the best player in the world right now (even during the regular season).

Hmm, to be honest, how the MVP title is granted and used in arguments, it is very stupid.
You know that amount of MVPs of a player is used to classify players and compare them to each other, so why should the better player not win?
Putting aside btw that Jokic stands out more regardless.
Nuggets were 4-8 without him this season, you can look up their stats, horrendous.
OKC 5-1 without SGA.
Nuggets without Joker aint getting to the play-ins.

Giving it to the best player of the best team of the season isn't stupid at all. MVP is here to honor the man who made the best season, not the man who is in himself the best player.

Frankly people can think Jokic deserves it but Shai having it this season wouldn't be a steal at all

We are talking about a man who had those kind of stats : 32.7pts 6.4 assists 5 rebounds 1.7 steals 1.0 blocks per game
And the guy pushed his team to the 1st spot in the NBA with 68 wins this season

Yeah to build a team i would pick Jokic over Shai but this season its not crazy to say Shai made an overall better season than Jokic.

Having a good team isn't an argument against someone to receive the MVP title. And lets not act like if Shai was playing with monsters beside him. Shai is THE motor of this team.

Then why didn’t KD or Steph sweep the awards during the KD Warriors? Maybe both of them would
have been more motivated during the regular season if they could win it lol.

MVP as the best player in the entire league makes more sense especially if it’s so apparent who fits the bill — Joker was by far the most impressive player this season. Everybody knows it, you think of MVP, you think of who’s the best player in the league.

Nope

You can say that Jokic is the best player overall currently

But he wasn’t by far the most impressive player this season

There is a debate because Shai had an incredible season too and put his team at the top of the NBA with an historic season

Westbrook 2017 MVP title was a joke
We all know it

But Harden 2018 title wasn’t crazy (scoring leader and first spot)

(Steph was MVP in 2015 and 2016)

Maybe the Wolves aren’t that good after all, Warriors have good defense
Let’s see the rest of the series but if Warriors can win this without Steph then the Lakers will be exposed as pure garbage 🤣

People saying these playoffs amazing till it two teams they don't want in the finals 😭
I think Nuggets or Warriors (if they somehow hold off without Steph rn) coming out of the west is good tv. We need at least one lovable superstar in there… Joker or Steph fits the bill. Knicks or Indiana coming out of the east will be refreshing. Celtics is still the only scary team though so they should come out for ratings.
