Sengoku himself is talking about him as a Roger Pirate and Sakazuki isn’t surprised about that. It’s a known fact oden was a Roger Pirate, but as Whitebeard stated very few people talk about him anymore because he’s been dead for 22 years.

The gap is big enough for Oden to be a tier under Ray and Gaban. That’s just how strong those two were. That’s why they were spoken to be comparable to the Pirate King.

It’s delusional to think Gaban is significantly stronger than oden just because the giants didn’t mention his 1 year apart of the crew
