Yes, it's about strength. Just as Zoro and Sanji are the wings. Just as they are the monster trio. Just as Zoro was portrayed as equal to Luffy.

Shoulder to shoulder means they were close. Basically the monster trio that was far superior to the rest of the crew.
The guy i quoted said Gaben was a failure lol

idc if they weren't equal. I never thought so either. But Gaben is close enough to Ray that a fight could go either way. That's all that matters :kayneshrug:

I mean the guy saw his son get killed by future sight if he tried something. You dont realize how traumatizing that is, so him surrendering is fine. Not sure what people wanted him to do.
I know it's why I say oda purposely took him out that way.

He could have make gaban fight imu directly and go out but Im certain all old Legend can overcome this version of imu or at least do decently which might hype him beyond any other legend so far.

Oda choose to write him out this way by giving him many nerfs to justify why he lost.

Oda dont want anyone to outdo his golden yonko and Roger equal newgate.

Surely if Zoro made some random beast pirates faint, Waban should make the HKs faint as well.
:kobeha::kobeha::kobeha::kobeha::kobeha::kobeha::kobeha:

Blud thinks Gaban learned he has CoC yesterday and can't control it.
Shanks coc would have disabled gunko lmfao

This supposed to be Roger's equal right

Whys this bum got one shot unable to save his son ?

Wano was meant to be Zoro's arc, or at least in part, and I was personally all in favour of it.

In fact, as much as I hate Zoro stans, I was in favour of ZKK because I thought that could have been so satisfying narratively and the shining example of Zoro doing for Luffy what only he can do - kill.

Suffice to say, Wano was not, in fact, Zoro's arc. He didn't get a big enough slice of the pie to justify saying the arc was even partly about him, imo.

And not only that, Sanji, after having his own bona fide arc, took up a lot of space in Wano and had some of his most profound moments to date in it, including a power up that's been dividends since. :suresure:
