Wano was meant to be Zoro's arc, or at least in part, and I was personally all in favour of it.

In fact, as much as I hate Zoro stans, I was in favour of ZKK because I thought that could have been so satisfying narratively and the shining example of Zoro doing for Luffy what only he can do - kill.

Suffice to say, Wano was not, in fact, Zoro's arc. He didn't get a big enough slice of the pie to justify saying the arc was even partly about him, imo.

And not only that, Sanji, after having his own bona fide arc, took up a lot of space in Wano and had some of his most profound moments to date in it, including a power up that's been dividends since.
