How's status relevant when he's directly fighting Sommers? And why the fuck would he have equal status if he isn't nearly as strong? We all know Rayleigh is far more popular and has better leadership since he is vice captain. So how come Gaban has equal status. Gaban has bigger dick? Why would they be talking about STATUS when the context is fighting?
Shanks and Buggy have equal status in context of political power yes since they are Yonkos. There's a lot more factors because they're part of different crews like allies and danger to government, etc. Plus, yeah I am sure they're relative in terms of strength in eyes of the government too.
In Ray's and Gaban's case, everything else is equalised. So the context is about strength.

Why would he need to beat Vista. He didn't care about the outcome of the war. Besides, the purpose to their battle was to test Vista's potential to see if he could become a worthy challenger in the future.

If im gonna be honest: as much as is fun to troll all the hardcore sanji haters (you know the distinction between them and just zoro fans) i highkey dont even want sanji to have acoc, i wrote this even several times in the FC you can check way before
I think that the black lightning spam and nontouching shit is ass. One piece is a manga, you read its visually, its look ass on page + its extra ass on sanji because sanji has arguably the coolest and most visual pleasing fighting style in the entire manga, now try to imagine how ass that shit looks if he zips through the air and kicks someone without even an impact pysically.
I legit was more hyped that Gaban showed FS than acoc from a personal reading stanpoint.
As for in a power level sense: I think its fine, like i said we got confirmation of acoc AND Fs also we have precedence in wano that sanji incorperates his new powers into a new jambe (he got technically 3 in wano, exoskeleton, the germa zoan scaling enhancement and than combined those with his haki into IJ) so i dont think this will be like luffy or zoro unlocking it. He gonna do his own shit, probally turning his flames black is the most common theory i read

I kind of think the same though in terms of power level I dont think it would be good for Sanji to unlock ACoC later than Luffy and Zoro. ACoC is different from FS in terms of power level (its a straight up boost while FS is about dodging/evasion, one of a defensive maneuver you can say). Of course if Oda retcons the Power of Love to be some form of ACoC or Sanjis flame abilities being a form of ACoC then I can accept it. One way or another Sanji is bound to be above Prime Gaban who was an ACoC, ACoA (Ryou, he is flowing haki to the axe) and ACoO (FS) user.
Your visual appeal thing is correct, Sanjis strikes are beautiful, his combos indeed look visually better (better flow and choreography) than a big punch or a single sword slash, though I dont think the no touch version is an absolute requirement. Personally I wouldnt want Sanji to have black flames (I think it is too overused) and pure white flames against Sanjis thematic black pants would look better in the manga medium.
