How much entertainment did the Zoro agenda give you, while it lasted?

You are objectivly wrong
We have the other language translation by the same VIZ, it says the same thing as the raws, unless you gonna trying to argue english is extra canon
You can't just ignore what the english translation says because it doesn't fit your agenda lol. If the English says one thing and a different language says another, then that's just an inconsistency. And again, what about Oda naming Rayleigh after a more valuable material than Gaban?

What the fuck are you waffling about are you doing your HAA01 and L57 impression now?
Thats what counterpart means:

Your argument was "but it could also mean something else" and other language that has not that ambiguity shows you what it means. No one is ignoring anything
What about Oda naming Rayleigh after a more valuable material than Gaban? ,
What about that?

Does it not imply superiority for him to be named after a better material?

So the answer is no
First coping about counterpart cause you cant open a dictionary
Making dumb stuff about about naming schemes > Manga statments

have fun with your fellow twerkers :MicDrop:
I'm not the one who compared Oda deliberately giving Rayleigh a superior material than Gaban to Niji being intended to be stronger than a version of Sanji that doesn't even exist

Doggo

Talent is something you make bloom.

My japoneses source told me that "counterpart" is not the appropriate translation, because of the context.
Simply using equal/equivalent would've been better.

Rayleigh and Gaban arent "counterparts" of each other.
They dont have the same position, nor are from different crews.
"English" is not OP' official language.
When every translation and japanese agree on one meaning, but english is different, english is not the one coming out on top.
Lmao

You know the discussion is getting dumb when people start trying to hyperanalyze translations in languages they don't even speak

and the French VIZ translation calls them equals. Stephen Paul taking liberties is nothing new.
