Ive been on the BB final villain train until MF ended, then WBs word casted doubts to me. Then Imu happened. And I was on the BB is defeated on Raftel train before the war with the WG. Then Xebec happened, so since then I was certain BB will be a major player in the final battle.

The Harley imo is what really tipped the scales but we will see what happens.

Heck we could even have a threeway fight.

The fact Rocks tried and failed in the past and appears to have a mysterious link to Blackbeard, who can steal abilities, that hasn't been acknowledged in the story yet, should tell you Blackbeard is very much still the final villain.

Possessing one of their subordinates when they already give so many of them their abilities is a great way for us to see what they have in store without them even going all out. Blackbeard will have his 1v1 with Imu and we'll learn more about the war 800 years ago, why they fought, why Joyboy lost, what Imu did to steal the Empty Throne and more.

I think the surprise twist of this arc is that we find out Joyboy and Rocks looked very similar.
