And if possessed characters cannot use Haki, then the argument can be made that possession is a nerf… like possessed Zoro would be way weaker than Regular Zoro if possessed Zoro don’t have haki

That is, unless possessed characters get access to Imu’s haki directly?

Maybe no haki but way stronger physically and dont forget regen and immortality

i really like that idea.

it would be super cool imo. i think most readers expect Joyboy to be Luffy 3.0(with Roger being 2.0), but I think that would be a great twist

especially if Joyboy turns out to be a morally grey characters.

alternatively, maybe the original Nika could resemble Xebec. I think that could be interesting as well

Vegapunk said it wasn’t clear who was right or wrong in the war between Joyboy and the Ancient Kingdom versus the Twenty Monarchs/Kingdoms.

We don’t know why they fought or why Joyboy lost but we do know some very important bits of information:

• Joyboy was betrayed
• Nerona Lily refused to join victors in the Holy Land

I think the conflict of the Second World was tied to the technology and resources the Ancient Kingdom, likely thanks to Joyboy, inherited from the First World.

The Ancient Kingdom may have meant well, but they did have the Ancient Weapons, and therefore likely the same Mother Flame powering their kingdom.

It is my guess the Ancient Kingdom was the envy of the world and resource hungry, driving the Twenty Kingdoms to work together to confront them. It may have been a righteous cause, depending on how many resources the Ancient Kingdom needed.

I think the Twenty Kingdoms won because Saint Imu induced a costly betrayal among Joyboy’s allies, possibly by stealing one or more of the Ancient Weapons, probably Uranus.

Before the he died and the Ancient Kingdom fell, Joyboy gather his closest followers and promised a new Dawn would one day shine anew on the world, and that they would have to be ready to fight for it when the time came. They followers of all raises became known as one clan, the D Clan, and the common creed as the Will of D.

After the war, Nerona Lily objected to how they won and even more so to how the Twenty Monarchs decided to divide the spoils among themselves. She refused to join them in creating their clan known as the Celestial Dragons.

Imu was upset by Lily’s rejection and snatched her body after betraying the other monarchs, which she probably objected to as well when he offered to share the Empty Throne with her.

I think Mars is the only surviving Monarch and first Gorosei, the only one that knows that whole truth.

It was said that all the Giants were turned into demons, obviously this doesn't include Jarul who Imu wants dead, as well as Loki and the New Giant Warrior Pirates who are in the underworld with the Monster Trio.

But I wonder if Ripley and Saul were turned into demons as well?

If Saul got turned into a demon, then I can see Robin fighting Demon Saul.

Not keen on Robin v Demon Saul that'd just be torture for the sake of it at this point.
As luck would have it though, Saul is not in the vicinity iirc, neither is Ripley. I know she was headed to Colon's location but don't think she has actually made it there yet.
