Anyone is likely to struggle and make mistakes without a direct line to Oda.

Japanese is an extremely context-specific language to begin. Then add in Oda's puns, word play, and references, and an already difficult tasks becomes even more daunting.

Now imagine the kind of paranoia and fear translators have to deal with after Raftel turned out to Laugh Tale after all these years? I can't excuse "Animal Kingdom Pirates" gaffes, but something like "Mother Frame" seems entirely in line with someone perhaps overthinking it or not wanting to go for anything too definitive lest Oda's turns the world upside down again.

Yea those are impossible to predict. Oda does this with full intent to 'hide additional information in plain sight' for his Japanese readers.
But why do other translations seem to be more accurate than the English one? Take Godhead for example. Can't excuse this with context.
Stephen Paul inserts too much of his own conclusions / agenda, like Artur does(/did when I still used to check his chapter overviews).
