well he certainly couldn't be mafia considering he had nothing to do with light, misa, etc.
and an indie becoming a townie? hmmm.....

I don't agree with it. I think he's a lot more likely to start out as Mafia. He was a Kira worshipper from the start of his introduction and in his flashback, his ideals matched up with Kira. There's no reason for him to start out as Townie. I feel more confident believing this since Takada was Mafia and imo she has more reason to start out as a Townie.

Yes but while his ideals aligned he was a lawyer, meeting light and receiving the dn enabled him in a way.

Usually conversions go towards scum. Scum is already outnumbered as is, I see no reason why there would be a conversion adding to town power.

Which is why I think it’s mikami, this game still follows the anime story line, no major character got converted from town to kira besides kiyomi who is dead and mikami.
