I find repugnant immigrating and spitting on the values that allowed you to built your life, and extremely entitled.
This is unironically what the American right does.

Trump is putting immigrants in cages and sending them to torture camps despite the fact that he himself is from an immigrant family. His grandfather was from Germany, his mother was from Scotland, and his wives are Eastern European.

Not to mention the utter disdain he has for century old American institutions.

Legal immigration is different from illegal immigration.

Calling church the abuser when it was the only institution that preserved Greek and Roman literature is a strange take.
History is history, there are no simple roles in describing 1000 years after a millenary empire fell.
The same way you say the church "abused" we could argue roman abused the whole continent, but they also brought fresh water and roads and laws.
Saying that the contribution of Catholic church is a net negative is for me wrong, but I understand that's a complicated topic.
Just saying that without the church, we would have enough lost aristoteles, plato and the origin of western culture.
One of the first institutions to promove charity, free health care, education, universities, hospitals, science, law, arts and so on... but pedo priests somehow erase all of the good.

Dude, are you Christian?

Religious xenophobe that hates America. In his case he secretly wants to be American and loves Trump but I don’t think your beliefs overlap in that regard.
But I am an atheist?

As I just said, I am an atheist.
I just don't like playing at good guys vs bad guys when talking about history, because only ignorant fools can pretend that there is only black and white in most cases.

Ok, this is perfectly reasonable way to think. The Church did both good and bad. Problem is that it's popular nowadays to hate on everything related to Christianism.

So are you one of those “cultural Christian” guys?
Yeah I do not feel I am saying anything shocking, Toby acts like the church was something demon army that razed europe to the ground
I haven’t said anything about the church. I’m not a fan, and I do think it’s an outdated institution. But I never said it destroyed Europe. At least not in modern times.

Outdated? You have any idea how many people depend on the Church's charity institutions world wide?

I don't know what you mean with that phrase, friend.
But the English monarch is crowned by an archbishop still today, on the US dollar there is written in god we trust just to give two examples of how radicated in Christianity western institution are.

Denying that Christianity shaped the western culture from the religious side is stupid and ignorant. Half of the law system in Europe is based on roman law preserved by the church, just to say another one.
Or the fact that we have Sundays as holiday.

I’m not denying it. But western culture is also defined by imperialism, ethnic cleansing, white supremacy, and corporate greed. All of these concept shaped what we know as the west.

but just so you know, this is a secular country, and Roman law precedes Christianity, let’s not pretend they’re both one and the same. The church didn’t give you the Magna Carta or the enlightenment. If it had been up to the church, I’d be considered a heretic.

Are you excited for this bill? I bet you can’t wait to lose your access to Medicaid.

What is white supremacy in Europe, excuse me?
Keep American issues in America, as "White" doesn't mean anything in europe, as the fact that EU is in shambles and completely broken proves every day.
The only country that tried to stand for some "arian supremacy" became the enemy of the entire continent.
White supremacy jesus christ, what a superficial way to just destroy every nuance to fit hidden agendas.

Roman law survived only thanks to the roman church, I literally wrote it.
Also, I wrote that the religion that shaped the culture was Christianity, not that Christianity shaped the entire culture.
Read what other write otherwise it's hard to discuss with you.

How many western nations had colonies and empires again?

Leftism has educated people to hate the West.
