The fact that most of the strongest characters in One Piece have significant family ties shouldn’t be surprising. Conqueror’s Haki is inherited that way. It’s normal that the children of people like Xebec, Dragon, or Garling stand out more than others. They’re simply predisposed to it. It’s not a brilliant concept, and I don’t particularly like it, but that’s how it’s always worked, so it shouldn’t really catch anyone off guard.
