Yes, Xebec's portrayal isn't even better than Kaidou's in terms of hype.

- Strongest man in the world.
- The toughest man in the world.

What's up with Xebec?

Was he captain of WB, Kaidou, Big Mom when they weren't at their peak? He failed to control them because the crew had direct internal conflicts, this even being referenced as one of the possible causes of his downfall. For God's sake, Xebec is strong, he is and I would put him in the top 4 easily, but he is NOT stronger than Roger, WB and Kaidou.

Please don’t even compare Laido to Xebec, if Xebec was still alive then Kaido would be his YC2 just like the characters Kaido is constantly portrayed as having a rivalry with like Oden and Ace.

Xebec is shown as fighting an Admiral and two Pirate Kings, Kaido is shown failing against YC2

The only reason Kaido didn’t live his entire life as a subordinate is because the two pirate kings ganged up on the man who beat an Admiral
