It really does give out last arc vibes because #9 was builded throughout as this cunning reappearing foe who has taken his last stand to the humans.

But #9 shouldn't be the peak, there should be an ever stronger monster lurking in the shadows. Like the king of the Kaijus or the mother of the kaijus or Alphas.

I don't understand.

Final boss? EOS?
OR just a move on to next season/volume.

We saw through every character dilemma and achievement. What's more there to even dig?

Origin of kaijus
The young ones mastering their powers
The samurai that Kafka saw
Maybe some stronger monsters etc etc
Not really finished for me but yeah I think the show won’t last long. 200 chapters maybe

I would have taken more time with the story. Monster 9 should have been dead a while ago and we should have built up to another enemy not just kaguya the king of monsters at the last moment.
the stakes went up too high too fast and a bunch of teenagers surpassed captains in a couple of weeks.
This series could have gone on for longer and been better for it.

Yeah, I would rate it 6/10, maybe 6.5/10 in general. Simple yet fun read, probably reads better in volumes. I kinda found it refreshing to have a slightly older MC, but in the end it was your typical shounen.

This show was overall okayish at best

some nice moments with 9 or Monster 8 but overall nothing huge

It could have been much more but ended up as your little forgettable shonen that you can read without really thinking

Ill likely watch the anime, it can have some nice fights and power trip
