Sanji's display against Page One was enough for me. Sanji made P1 scream of pain with base kicks enchanced by rs. base kicks. Imagine if he added diable jambe to it or used hell memories? It's like saying Sanji should have beaten Blueno/Kumadori/Fukurou before beating Jabura.

I wanted P1 to be done for not just feel pain , if it was Luffy we all know P1 won't reappear again in the arc like what he did to Cracker

Redon Statement about breaks next week.

Regarding breaks.

Technically, One Piece has not rested since chapter 984, that is, there have been 4 issues in a row of the magazine with chapters of One Piece. The breaks of the last weeks have been breaks from the Jump for holidays (last week) and for adjustments due to COVID-19 (the 4th week of July) and therefore those weeks have "rested" all the series . Yes, possibly Oda has really rested these days but hell, these are vacation days that everyone who works deserves.

Screaming meant it hurts like hell. and Since Sanji wasn't even using his strongest hits this should be pretty telling of what would have happened if Sanji actaully went serious
Overpowered him, cool thing, ancient zoans are all brute strenght so i'll expect that. Didn't change that hit did no damage to Sanji. Wheter it is thank to raid suit does not matter.

You act like there was any buildup to the Jabra fight..... It Shouldnt be suprising that oda would do something like this since he's done it before. After Enies lobby anything is really possible.

b4 Jabra fight , he fought Mr2 ... there was no need for buildup cause they were in context all in his level at the time none seemed out of the SH league til we went to the NW and we met the Yonko crews

I know I have NOT BEEN on the same page with Oda for quite a while... but I have to admit, these last recent chapters have been a bless for me:

1- My favorite Strawhat Sanji disappeared (Not for gag like Black Maria/Kalifa repeat) and he made a comeback clashing with King of all people

2- My biggest Crush in One Piece, O-Kiku, not only she had great dialog against Kanjuro, and she hyped her blade (probably cursed)... she also managed to stab Kaido.... and I only recently realized by the help of someone here in this forum that O-kiku is refrencing the badass "Okita Souji" from Shinsingumi, the Japanese Police Force.... and that the Scabbard are actually representing the Shinsingumi... Specially since I have always questioned why the hell, Oda is bringing the Mimawarigumi into the story, and he DOES NOT refrence the shinsingumi... I thought it was weird, but with that guy aid, we realized that Red Scabbard are the Sinsingumi representation....

3- Kinemon (probably representing Kondo Isao from Shinsingumi) actually looking legit last chapter with his dialog with Kaido... looking competent... as someone leading the scabbards... cause it was about time the funny gag/jokes stop with him.. not to mention things are going so easy with him and everyone else do the most work on behalf of him...

4- Proven facts that Kaido is NOT immortal, Law's theory of removing immortality is thrown to toilet FINALLY, cause that would make Kaido staying as Yonko/strength so fucking trash... where you remove immortality, and he's fucked

5- Ryuu being the way of hurting Kaido... so that Luffy can ascend in combat level by being able to clash with Yonko and hurt them this time!

I couldn't ask for better recent chapters

Yeah it's quite early for final match ups. Oda has to big up Kaido and co to make it seem like the Alliance are losing.
