Speculations Are MEMES The Only Thing Keeping One Piece Alive?

#3
I will finish the story since i read for a long time but you don't have to if you don't want. :kayneshrug:
What's a long time for you? Did you start reading before the time-skip?

I can respect that

But I also don't buy the whole "sunken investment" reasoning some people use- meaning they decided they must finish because they've been reading so long that even if it sucks they'll do it.

I've dropped better things for worse reasons than that. I don't plan to start going "oh, but I spent 5 years doing it, so I can't stop" now.

I think about 80% or more of people are here for meme purposes still.

The only notable one piece memes are slander images and luffy dancing to phonk, and the Brazilian luffy one is dead, and slander images only people in the community would get.

onepiece certainly isnt known for its memes , the only famous " meme " i can think of is that whitebeard dick pic ,
the biggest thing that keeps onepiece alive is the fact that its still not finished.

No the fact its still ongoing is what keeps it alive.

I remember very well Narutobase and how active that shit was during manga run. It was so sad to see what it has become couple years after manga ended. With no new releases you just simply come to the point there is nothing left to discuss , no discussion about new chapters , no new theories .

I have been reading one piece for 2 years only, I had enormous pleasure that in 6 months period I bought and read all 103 existing physical manga volumes. Then after couple months , I read it all again. Now I am simply following new chapters each week and buying new manga volumes when they are published ( once in 4 months ).

Waiting whole week/weeks for 12 - 19 pages of content is painful and not much fun compared to reading it all at once .

2 years that explains a lot you just came during the meme hype wave

I am not sure where the manga was when i started but it really has been more then 20 years, when i was in military manga was in enies loby and i even read it there, i was watching the anime but i think i switched to manga in Skypia arc. I don't think manga is that bad as you said since i also dropped a lot of series because i didn't liked them so if i hated it i wouldn't read it i guess.

Yes manga is getting worse by time but so does everything in the world, in the end Oda can somehow makes us interested though he lost a lot of edge i can't deny.

A bonified Oda fan right here 👍

We can all learn something from his example
