I think the best we can hope for is, in his down time, he cooked up something insane and the ending of succession war will be the greatest literature ever
He won't have any relevance rn.
Cheadle and Sanbica are way above him in regards to medical stuff. And with the martial law in place, i don't think anyone's getting from tier 3 to tier 1. The best you can hope for is, after Benjamin's and whoever else's rampage, there's lots of people injured and dying and they call up the medical squad to treat them.

Leorio just had to be the character I like the most man...
One of the main 4 but he's a glorified side character in almost every arc he's in

You guys are just a bunch of haters 
I genuinely love most of the minor characters. They make the hxh world feel alive and dynamic.
I feel like this is a berk boat arc situation. That took like 8 years irl so we used to hate it a lot as it happened. But peeps who got into berk later doesn't have much issue with it at all. Similarly, if Togashi were able to drop chapters consistently, i think you guys might have felt differently.
Ironically, hxh is also stuck in a boat for more than a decade now.

Most of these characters are completely irrelevant in the long term and a chunk of them will likely be dead by the end of the arc
I have little to no reason to really care about almost any of them
Now the princes and certain Mafia members are fairly interesting but outside of them? Ehhh

The whole point of succession war is a proxy war with the princes' allies and followers. So of course there's gonna be a lot of minor characters.
You don't have to. They are there to progress the plot.

I didn't say their existence isn't logical
The existence of 7000 side characters in Wano given the scale of the arc was also logical. Doesn't mean it wasn't an absolute chore to read
Something having a reason to exist doesn't mean it's good
That in itself is a problem though, no? Spending chapters focusing on characters that only exist to progress the plot that the reader has zero attachment to isn't all that enjoyable to sit down and read
In previous HxH arcs you had established characters that you cared about outside of their ability to move the story forward. It isn't like that currently
Wano was a bad arc and the main reason was the bloat. The Succession Arc is trending in the same direction by introducing 10 new characters every chapter that you're expected to keep up with
Again, I'm not saying Togashi is introducing all these characters for fun. Given the nature of the arc and the events that are taking place it makes perfect sense for there to be various characters with their own unique nen abilities, agendas, and allegiances
I'm saying from the perspective of a reader it's incredibly tedious and unfun to keep up with
