Wano lasted literal years and most of the arc the straw hats were completely useless. It also has one of the worst arc endings ive ever read.

I love the straw hats being useful, but they weren’t useful in this arc. Just because they beat an opponent in an unsatisfying fight doesn’t excuse the shit treatment they were to get treated like second fiddle to the samurai who did nothing.

Only 3 out of the 10 Strawhats got sidelined , Which is Pretty low for Post Timeskip standards….

Nico Robin NEVER moves like this ever in the series this was her first fight in 18 Years when and it’s Her Most In depth fight in the series.

And Sanji? That’s Sanjis First Real Conclusive fight 1v1 since 2006 15 Years.
This was also The first time Sanji Acknowledged his weakness for Women and how it effects the crew. First time we get internal dialogue like this for Sanji.

Punk hazard: actually kinda good, good mini arc and fun villain and great buildup arc, 7.4/10
Dressrosa: the build up for doffy was amazing, too bad it was fumbled 4/10
Wholecake: hated the switching back and forth from kat fight to something else, cracker fight was peak tho 6/10
Zou 1/10, awful
Wano act 1, liked Tama, not much else, 5/10
Wano act 2, cool prison break, hated big mom 6/10
Wano act 3, peak, Robin fight, kidd and law vs big mom, etc etc 9/10
Reverie, best arc of all time 10/10
Egghead, mid besides Blackbeard stuff, kidd vs shanks, and cross guild but still good 8/10

We need to accept that and understand that projecting what we know of others stories on One Piece will only lead us to deception as One Piece is not like others stories.

You will never appreciate any story if you keep pushing your expectations on them.

In the entire story yes. Not in in all the arcs of said story. In One Piece, the main cast evolves with times, it's not stuck in place. It has always been the case from the start.

The argument that I always hear "Oda is not focused on the important character" is not only wrong, it's fallacious. Because the Strawhat are only a PART of the important characters.

None of the strawhats are useless in One Piece. Absolutely none. They all shines differentely thorough the entire story. We must put an end to this bogus argument.

Now, I can understand that you would prefer something else. I'm not talking to you specifically, I only use your comment to coutner something that I've seen repeted again and again. But I think it's important that you understand that a lot of those arguments are not relatives to the actual narrative quality of the story.

One Piece has its narrative flaws (there are a few in Wano) but they are never really brought up

This arc built up and tore down Linlin, gave us the power rangers, gave us Charlotte fucking Cracker and the Donut Muncher. Filler of an arc since Luffy barely uses future sight in any distinguishable way.

Wano Arc - 3/10

Didn't like most of the side-protagonist characters, didn't like Oden or his flashback. The Beast Pirates really got zero development and were used as villains of the week and kaido is like a poor man's Loki.

Lot of cool shit in here too but I'll never forgive Oda for giving Kawamatsu more panel time than Jack the Drought. When Wano Arc ended, I had a loathing for over half the arc's cast whenever they'd appear.

Egghead Island Arc - 5.5/10

Not great but some cool moments and potential. The world feels like it's moving and progressing, even if I didn't like Vegapunk much at all and thought Kizaru's arc was half assed.

Elbaph so far - 5/10

Not a fan of the Giants, the world building of the island itself feels light. This flashback is cool, Loki is cool, I really like the Holy Knights but I haven't been sold by Imunko.

I always have to remind myself that Onigashima is essentially the Marineford of Post-Timeskip, Oda spent 403 chapters on this saga and the Straw Hats barely got acceptable fights. Hell, Brook and Chopper didn't even have proper opponents.
