Ledon’s gotta chill, snitch
he's running an underground mafia unit imo
every single leaker gets threatened and drops off
but hes untouchable.

@Tyki_Mikk other day you said shakky being important feel forced because oda didnt build up that before

But one piece always had these plots that came from nowhere. Who could have possible imagined prior to post enies lobby that fucking Garp was Luffy grandpa? Or that Ace was Roger son? And so on
Garp was always planned to Luffy grandpa its not outta nowhere like ace being Roger's son

But Garp and Ace were involved in ongoing storylines throughout, the first pursuing Luffy since early OP, the other being Luffy's brother and chasing after someone even Luffy's mentor had warned about. While their blood relationship came out of nowhere, neither Garp nor Ace were NPCs stationed somewhere and doing nothing. We knew both of their stories were building to a climax.
On the other hand, Shakky has only been shown in Sabaody, being Ray's retirement prize. The Rocks flashback didn't see her play any role at the start; her and the Kuja were plopped in the middle of Xebec's and Harald's backstories, and gained an unexpected and unearned importance all at once.

Ik, but the readers of that time didnt know it was planned since chapter 1, so I can see them thinking it came from nowhere

Garp only appeared in one cover story

I think ledon just plays extremely safe by the book, he has been doing this for who knows how long. He wont fall to online demand for early leaks, tries to be as vague as possible for hints not giving away the content before he is told the green light etc.

for me at least, it's not about becoming so important out of nowhere.

it's more about the fact that she would have become the main cause of arguably the most consequential and hyped up incident so far in the manga. And not in a serious capacity. But in a joke-ish manner.

It's quite similar to Sanji getting blood in fishman island. That moment introduces to us the stigma within fishman society against giving blood to humans, and the root cause of it being centuries of racism from humans toward fishmen. That moment set up the goofy jumbo blood transfusion moment too. But, it all becomes silly when you think about how sanji lost the blood and was in danger of dying in the first place. From a fucking perverted nose bleed gag. Multiple times in fact.

That kind of lowbrow gags that are centered around perversion is quite unfunny and completely detracts from any kind of serious, thought provoking or hype inducing moments. At least for me.

And if shakky was the trigger to GV, it would have been very similar to sanji's simp gags. But a million times worse because of the number of legendary characters oda ruined for this unfunny joke and how it affects Godvalley incident's credibility.

Maybe sanji fans enjoy seeing other characters act like him. But i don't. All the more when it's characters oda himself hyped up as legends.

What it shows is that oda is trying to make them seem down to earth and relatable. But oda can't, or won't do it in a natural manner. So he resorts to the same unfunny joke that ruined sanji and many other characters in fiction.

But, thankfully, it seems like shakky is not the reason for Godvalley happening. This is a good day.

End of Yap.

Yeah, thats also my only problem.

I think cool she being important because she was always interesting. But that doesnt mean I wanted her being the cause of GV
