So what's the basis on putting Xebec above Roger powerwise at this point? He sailed with peers that didn't respect him and tied with Harald, which is fine, since Harald is incredibly powerful, but Xebec lacks the feats to single him out as the most powerful one. Roger on the other hand had bonafide top tiers under him (Rayleigh, Gabban, Oden) who loved and admired him.

Why do people pretend Xebec is special among his peers?

This is so true man. In fact just the other day I was wondering why Oda never, I dunno, made a magazine stating he's Roger's strongest adversary, while also making Sengoku say that same thing as well.
Now that would easily solidify Rocks > Roger.

What is the actual translation? I have found another which is even better for the God King: "Shanks learned (kamusari) by watching Roger. No one else in the Roger pirate crew could even copy it, and they were all amazed by Shanks' talent"
