The difference is that Poseidon Uranus and Pluton are connected to and defended by people connected to Joyboy.

Davy Jones is an entirely different individual who we don’t know is connected to Joyboy. If the entire island could contain a clan the WG doesn’t want people to know exist they can’t just make a spectacle of the eradication or let the marines handle it. It has to be a WG specific thing.

They literally make a spectacle out of Ohara, why are you specifically assuming they care about keeping the Davy clan a secret? Imu specifically talks about how D. members have no idea what their initial means and several of them (Garp/Dragon/Saul) have gone on to work for the Government.
