I could see that definitely, Oda likes to humanise more goofier characters. Caribou has never felt entirely evil as much of a truly scummy POS he is too. A lot of people are products of the world/society/fate/nature/luck etc just like IRL.

Oda loves to go grey area and write more morally neutral characters and even openly discussed that with Vegapunks broadcast but also made both Kozuki and Kurozumi victims but evil, reprehensible scum too. Same for most of Wanos people at least too in fact.

Odas writing is more realistic when it comes to motivations, morality, ambitions etc. He shows the best and the worst. Capone is a hell of an example as I showed here recently but also MANY other important characters too.

Caribou is gonna be in for a nasty wake up call with Blackbeard or become his Bellamy potentially. I wonder if Blackbeard will notice he's similar to Wang Zhi and expect revenge from Caribou? The cycles of revenge in One Piece lol. Or maybe Caribou isn't related to Wang after all (pause) or and actually idolises Blackbeard?

It's gonna be real fascinating what Oda does with him, Oda has been cooking with Caribou since Sabaody, almost as long as Blackbeard himself! A fair few years apart at most!

I've wanted to joke that Caribou might be the Black Zetsu of One Piece somehow. his eyes are very sus too. Oda definitely has huge plans for him.

I don't think I've ever heard of Caribou being playable in the OP games, I would love to play as him, Pedro, more Big Mom and Beast Pirates, Beckmann and Roux, Augur, Pizarro, Monet, Sengoku, Green Bull etc in pirate warriors especially.
