Really thinking about this further, I am starting to think the Figarlands are the main antagonists of this arc.

- The arc starts with Shamrock being revealed here, literally propagating similar events to God Valley in that he creates a game for the other 3 HKs to participate in. Like shit father, like shit son

- Loki was originally captured by Shanks 6 years prior, then proceeds to have beef with Shamrock this very arc. This event still has not been paid off

- Garling is basically the sole cause for God Valley happening in the first place. Think about this. Dragon needs to save at least one of the twins, which means at some point he probably encountered Garling

- Mariejoa is in flames right now, likely due to the Revolutionary Army making their move finally. If thats the case, then Dragon encountering Garling again makes sense narratively

- If you believe the possibility that Shamrock is the father of Bonney, given how much of a cunt his own father is with women and children, then it further cements a decent chance he returns to Elbaf to get his ass beat. Not to mention, Kuma AND Bonney are in Elbaf right now nd Bonney has always been implied to be a World Noble's daughter given comments by Akainu.

- And what better way to parallel father/son then have Luffy fight Shamrock while Dragon fights Garling?


Idk, Im just feeling this. I cant see Luffy dunking on Gunko who is a victim of control and Imu also doesnt get resolved here given hes not using his actual body anyway. Imo Imu gets his arc villainy built up between God Valley and Elbaf, but IMO this is more of a Figarland related one, especially if Shanks is meant to have his story resolved soon with Blackbeard and Luffy.
