Character Discussion The Shakky glaze is the most annoying and stupidest part of this Elbaf flashback

I have nothing against Shakky as a character, but her constant glaze has become Oden level of annoying.

This part of the flashback right here in chapter 1159 is just plain dumb, like wtf do you mean World's Economy ground to a halt for several weeks because of Shakky?

That's not even funny, that just makes no sense at all, Oda is really trying to shove Shakky down our throats and make it seem like she is the greatest female character of all time.

Shakky didn't do anything super notable as far as I can tell, and her design is only decent, it is not the greatest of all time in which Oda is trying to make us believe.

So far I've been really enjoying the Elbaf flashback, but this Shakky stuff is the only part of the flashback that imo isn't enjoyable.

She was a cool character in present timeline. A level headed old woman.

But oda just made her worse than Lolden with this flashback. Just ruined her as a character.

Yeah, this exaggeration is just too much.

For me personally, it's because her design doesn't warrant such treatment. Her body shape, her facial features, her physical attributes, etc, is on the generic/common side.

Unless her charms is boosted by DF like Hancock, or because it's her top tier CoC and she has ultra charisma. Now that's more believable.

Or because she is beautiful and did something super awesome. That's reasonable for her to be this impactful.

But pure beauty alone? Nah. Not even in our modern (simp) world.

Rocks- under the guise of saving Shakky but actually to protect his family

Roger- Shakky to the Roger pirates is pretty much the equivalent of Vivi to the strawhats or Makino to the red haired pirates, they're definitely pulling up to rescue her

Garp- Old coot just wanted to throw hands with Roger

Dragon just happened to be stationed their, I do wonder if him and Garp met on the battlefield

It would of been way worst if everyone amd their mom went their for sole purpose of Shakky rescue
