I know Rocks was there for his family kaido and linlin were there for the devil fruits garp was there to fight roger but it doesn't change the fact that the whole battle on god valley was cause by shakky

god valley more like goon valley or simp valley what happen 38 years ago was battle of mindless lovestruck simps who wants to play hero to get shakky for fall for them like holy crap I don't hate shakky but her being the trigger in this flashback turned god valley into a absolute joke

I wouldn't be surprised if imu simping for Lili cause void century war 800 years ago

Its not that bad, especially not Oden bad

Rescuing a friend is a legitimate reason for Roger pirates to be there given her deep connection to Rayleigh and how much Roger pirates care for her

Rocks went to rescue his family

Garp went to beat Rogers ass

Shakky was just one of many reasons they all showed up on God Valley

And at least the Shakky Goonfest started towards the end of the flash back

Oden was being wanked and Gooned since before he was ever a named Character

No matter what Oda would have done people always find a way to bitch and moan and complain about bad writing.

Shakky was a unique decision, I like it. The Celestial Dragon's are filthy rich, the only thing they deem worthy as a price is the prettiest woman alive. It makes perfect sense.

It's pretty bad because Oda reduced Shakky, a captain of the Kuja pirates, into nothing more than a slab of meat to be preyed upon.

Nowhere did Oda foreshadow Shakky to be this important to the story. It truly felt like such a last-minute decision. In this flashback, Oda basically made Shakky into a plot device character because he was limited as an author and couldn't figure out a better way to gather all these guys into one spot... it also sexism to such a degree, Skakky was treated nothing more than an object for men. Like these goons believe she will fall in love with anyone who will come to save her even though she has her sight on Rayleigh. However they didnt have much of a relationship that we could see because of Oda off panels or lack of telling or showing.

These pirates just lust over her and people need to know lust is different from love.

If they ever show up. I'd be fine with it. But there is no mention of it. Just Shakky and Gloriosa. I do find wholesome how Gloriosa always cared about Shakky.

People legit act surprised the degenerate Celestial Dragons turn the most beautiful woman in the world into a prize for their sick hunting games.
It wasn't enough for people that we saw on Sabaody that if they find a woman attractive, they just take her or the Ginny stuff. Or the entire past of Hancock. Or the Slave Auctions.

Yeah I really thought God Valley would be about something important, but the actual important things like the davy clan, shanks/shamrock and kuma are being overshadowed by someone whose only contribution to the story is the fact that she's a pretty girl.

This is ridiculous.

Also, I think Shakky is as hot as the next guy, but she aint worth no mythical dragon devil fruit or long lost member of prophetic clan.

Edit: Also, Harald is a bitch.

I don't disagree about that. I just disagree that the most hyped fight is around a woman as a prize and people simping towards her. There isn't even deep connections between her and those people. They just simp. Is not like Shakky and Rayleigh had a prohibitted love and Roger is helping his friends. There is no fucking rivalry between Rocks and Roger. Garp is only there because he is in love with Roger.

It is weird what I will say now but it is like at the same time Shakky is too important and too irrelevant.

I think it is even worse because no one is ever trying to get her love. Roger first interaction we saw with her was to kidnap. This is rape shit.
