What i love the most abou this, is how people gaslight themselves thinking Sanji was at fault here.

Luffy was the one that told Sanji to pick up VEgapunk and run away. He was responsible to cover their exit.
He let Kizaru catch up and kill Vegapunk.



Revisionism at its finest.

Sanji was absolutely at fault, he was carrying and protecting Vegapunk, he failed miserably.

I'm cool with Vegapunk "dying", it is totally fine for a character to fail like Sanji did. What happens here is different though. Vegapunk "dies" and, while Sanji knows it is his fault, he just doesn't care at all.

Sanji's failure to protect Vegapunk being factually inconsequential is the worst decision CL²³oda ever took in the entire manga. The fact he's even tried to justify it in such a ridiculous matter made it even worse

Yes, that’s what people don’t understand. Even with their regeneration, and now that we know ACoC works, someone like Kaidou could defeat the five without much difficulty, considering they’re nothing special outside of regeneration.


Luffy can toy with Saturn even though he has regeneration and a possible awakened Mythical Zoan. He simply wasn’t able to land a single physical blow on Luffy, who was mocking him, while any version of Kaidou could hit Luffy.


It’s truly a massive gap we’re looking at here.
