Man, the tweet says that there is this info about a break until december (I don't know where it comes from) but the guy in the tweet just says that it's false and the break it's just one week. That's it.

This was an official message from Jump last year about a sudden break due to health reasons, people used this image this week as a reference to show people unexpected breaks like this are normally health related.

However what ended up happening was that some people didn't know what year this message came from or that it was just used as a reference and not a recent statement so confused individuals started reposting this as misinformation that One Piece is going on break until December. Which is not true.

i understood as replying to people saying that the break would be to december, like 2 months, but its just a week (as we knowso far)

It’s probably one of those cases of Oda changing the story after everyone predicts what will happen. Carrot getting her revenge on Pero was too obvious, so Oda decided to have her lose and accomplish nothing in Wano, pull an “Arya kills the Night King” by having Neko come in out of nowhere (somehow able to fight again after receiving just basic first aid from Hiyori) and take out Pero, and then make Carrot the new Duke because reasons

It's one of Oda's biggest problems as a writer, even more so in the last decade. He'd rather be unpredictable and surprise his audience regardless if it's good or bad rather than deliver on good writing. Something doesn't have to be unexpected to be good. Logic like that is how we get bad gags, character assassinations, and Nika/Gomu Gomu no Mi-tier retcons.
