Break Week Am I the only one who's tired of this long ass flashback?

Like seriously after God Valley turned out to be Shakkussy Stans fighting for Shakussy I kinda lost interest in it.

I want to see what happens in Elbaf rather than this disappointing ass flashback going on.

For example how and when will zoro Master coc?

Will Sanji unlock it aswell?

What Kind of powers does Imunko also have?

How will Luffy win if he wins? Maybe he loses just like the first times against kaido.

Who are Zoro and Sanji facing and so on

This is how he writes even in the early days every arc there is some form of flashback, which I think is an important part of OP to understand the current times we need to understand the past.

I'm not a fan of how Oda writes his fights but I do like the flashbacks and the introduction of the current blight the people of the island are coming across and why.

The characters involved and their interactions are a delight, I wouldn’t mind staying here for like 10+ more chapters lol. Shakky‘s bit is not that bad since we know that the meat of GV’s narrative doesn’t involve her. Her part’s already been resolved after one chapter. The more serious plot points will involve Xebec, and likely Garling or Imu. Xebec’s reason for going to GV is actually solid and that’s the part that matters.

It feels long because nowadays we are reading it per chapter not per volume. Like 1 chapter a week +breaks. I remember reading Ohara 20 years ago in a volume and it didnt feel long at all. I think the pace is okay and this FB is important as we see a glimpse of everyone past here, even Dragon. I genuinely enjoy this compared to Oden's for example. Ofc there are some flaws but overall its a very good FB for me.

I do understand that feeling. I'll admit, I'm personally enjoying it more than not. This flashback has been a lot of fun. But, this has been one of the longer flashbacks. And I do hope we get back to the present soon-ish. But, I'm willing to give this another chapter or three to see what happens. God Valley is probably going to get destroyed somehow, and Uranos probably isn't operational yet, so I'm VERY interested to see what could happen there. I have...ideas.

But, I'll admit, the longer that this flashback goes on, the more I dread that Oda will end up pulling another "Missing Night" on us like in Egghead. Like we finally finish the flashback, and everyone's been arrested and carted off to New Marineford, or something.

On the contrary this is one of the most anticipated flashbacks and Oda is really killing it with Rocks and everything being revealed. Shakky has been a sort of means to an end, a catalyst, she hasn’t been much of a distraction to me since the Kuja pirate stuff (which was pretty cool). With Rocks, Harald, Roger, Garp, and Dragon, Shakky has been the last thing on my mind. I’m excited for the modern day stuff too but I’m really enjoying where we are now, I get that it can feel slow but that’s the week to week experience and what makes it feel worse is the frequent breaks, over all this is a super positive time for the series.
