Theory Garling has the hito hito no mi model: lunarian

I really doubt Oda randomly put a monster from a movie amidst four Yokai.
Ju Peter Is likely some Yokai, but with a wider inspiration than the rest.
It's a Mongolian sandworm; it's not taken from Dune, though it is also a homage to it, but it's from IRL mythology.
Warcury's own boar form, the Fengxi, isn't Japanese either, but Chinese.

Oda is obviously working on a pattern here, having three Gorosei with Japanese inspirations, and two with outside Japan, though still Asian-based, ones. An inner circle & an outer one around IMU/Japan.
Either Garling will also have a non-Jap Yokai form, to make it 3 Jap & 3 non; or IMU himself will be based on a non-Japanese creature, to show him being a "foreigner" to the culture he's taken over & subjugated through the centuries.

Imu is most likely the western Devil, quite literally.
Even the all abyss thing and borrewed Life/powes It's a version of a Devil bargain.

Ok, that does make more sense.
Anyway, easter mosters then.

Yeah, a Western dragon would work both as a symbol of IMU's outsiderness &, if the dragon in question is English/Welsh, it works in tandem with the Figarlands, being that Garling has a French inspiration, while Shanks & Shamrock are purebreed Irish.
MJ is inspired by France, too. Here you have the heart of the European powers having taken over the world, slowly diluting the Japanese influence, 3 Yokai --> 3 Asian non-Yokai. In time, IMU would have Gorosei based on non-Asian creatures, until he takes over the cultures of the ones opposing him, too: Dragon's Native American & Nika's Afro-American one.

Cool then.

The dragon is also a common "form" for the Devil in religion, paintings, etc.
And so It would fit with all the devil's bargain things we have seen.

Sooo, his hair being a Moon's makes him a potential Lunarian despite the fact that he lacks literally any main treat from a Lunarian? Yeah, calling bs on that shit
Do you even properly read? The theory is that Garling ate a devil fruit (Lunarian fruit), it was never said that he IS a lunarian. And the existence of such a fruit is not impossible, take Chopper and his devil fruit as an example.
