World building in one piece is massive so it's likely not to remember every minor detail. And, it's not possible to map every plot in detial in advance as well. Blue print yes...but all the details? Nope

So, oda will retcon things as he will map story in details with each chapter

Yeah, it could be that he just forgets things, but doesn't he also have his editors to remind him of these things? Or, are they afraid to correct Oda?

Anways Garling fraud-allegations aside, it's interesting to know that the Rocks Pirates actually fought Imu on God Valley.
Wonder if that's why Newgate told Oden that it was impossible to challenge the WG or something along those lines in Oden's flashback. Would be mad Imu hype if he solos Rocks, Newagate and Kaido with his newly acquired DF all at once. Also think we could potentially see all of the Gorosei make an appearance on God Valley as well kinda like Egghead which could be interesting ^^ but these events make it even more mind boggling why Roger and Garp would've chosen to fight Rocks on God Valley. If anything you'd think it'd be a team effort against Imu and his forces who are clearly the antagonists of the arc. Also this is out of left field but I wonder if Roger's illness might have something to do with the events on God Valley
