First of all, it's obvious that Blackbeard's statement there is referring to his crew, Aokiji is the only one of his underlings that could possibly take Garp down.

Second, we don't need to speculate about what that means, we saw the fight happen on screen, Aokiji was getting manhandled by Garp and he certainly did not take him down singlehandedly.
