OP fans have terrible pattern recognition I swear.

Evil meter scaling, design scaling, height scaling, and sob story scaling, these are the only things that matter. There is a sweet spot for Oda among both heroes and villains. Garling stabbing his baby momma busted through that threshold, he was due for a clowning. Same goes for Gunko's design, her being pantsless was a dead giveaway, but throw in that sob story of hers and she is guaranteed a glorified damsel in distress.

1.It's very easy to tell when someone is top tier in One Piece
2.Among top tiers it is easy to see which ones Oda is setting up for a clowning/failure.

I remember defending Garp back at Marineford for sticking with the WG and not siding with his pirate kids, now I can't imagine doing that again in big 2025 when this dude knows about Imu (literally Satan), Celestial's hunting game (literally genocide) and still chooses to work for them 38 years later

The marines keep looking dumber and dumber every arc, not because Oda ruins them, but because he makes their employers WG somehow more cartoonishly evil than your average rape-and-pillage fodder pirate
