I’m all for them surprising us and killing the RHP. The problem comes when you compare them to say Mihawk and the admirals where their hype feels way too small.

Maybe oda does artificially buff them, maybe not. But I don’t think you can blame the fandom who doesn’t find the Titanic captains all that threatening.

The moment the connection between Brook and Gunko was made it was over mate, he will play a part. Im not saying the others wont hold off Gunkimu or fight her while this is ongoing though.

I am not blaming the fandom though.


We all know BB and IMU are the biggest antagonists which SHs will defeat by the end of this series simply based on the narrative significance and development

It's just the order about which people disagree with.

Zolo vs mohawk is basically the same as condom and akainu in mf. Cause mohawk was toying with zolo using a butter knife. While mohawk aimed for condom, killed his brother and gave him the scar.

From condom's perspective, it's a rematch

Like morally I think Sengoku/Akainu/Garp/Borsalino are all in the same realm. Except Akainu worst of the 3 due to no hesitation in even killing Marines and civilians. Then Sengoku right after. Then Borsalino. And Garp having the best out of the four. But Garp is by no means the symbol of righteousness, which I thought was already established by Sabody pre-TS.

I would also throw Aramaki in there based off his actions, its just his words at Wano making me hesitate.

Hence why I've always disagreed with "villain admirals" or "Garp is waaayy more good than others"


Similarly with the Vice-Admirals you have morality ranging from Onigumo to Doberman to Momonga to Maynard to Smoker. All about protecting civilians and catching criminals, but moral separation in how far are they willing to take the sacrifices to do so.

Fujitora is the only one with clear cut superior morals.

Brook has been WCI MVP for example, Oda seems to like him and no reason for the connection between him and Gunko to be established for it not to be revisited during the fight. May help Gunko remember him and fight back for control. Its a common trope.
