Mihawk in canon never really fought the top swordsman like Rocks, Harald, Roger, Shiki and Rayleigh

His fans have to be dishonest and pretend Shanks was already a top tier when Luffy knew him, even though at that point he got scarred by base Teach and lost his arm to lord of the coast. Like it or not, canon is making it look like Mihawk got his title at the end of the golden age of swordsman without really fighting anyone that strong.
