For the 213819283th time, who do you think it's Sanji's BBP matchup?

Coby doesn’t respect Luffy, he idolizes him. Shits not even close to Roger and Garps mutual respect.

Coby ain’t him. Never will be.
Y'all were the same people complaining about how the parallels were too obvious with Roger, Ray, Gaban and the Monster Trio but now you're complaining when Oda makes the dynamics between Luffy and Koby a little different compared to Roger and Garp??

Queen was only allowed to suffer actual pressure from Big Mom previously to Onigashima's raid, no one else could touch him, not even Luffy.
I mean that is Aokiji we are talking about, it's not a shame he lost, it's about the portrayal.
Queen was in his stupid Full Zoan Form in which he can't even defend himself - so BM just tossed him around and Queen tanked it and got back up like nothing happened. Later also cracked her head and almost knocked her out lmao.
Queen was shown as inferior, but he was neither going all out nor was he taken out by BM, which is really good portrayal considering he is a YC vs a Yonkou.

Pizzaro just got no diffed in 0.1 seconds. That is terrible portrayal, especialy considering he is supposed to be a later fight for Sanji (by some people), which means he should be above Queen by quite a bit. And that does not show it.
But at the same time, you have other characters that did not get no diffed by Aokiji, like Laffite for example.

It's only expected that one of Sanji's final opponents don't get treated like that... But he tanked Garp's punch to the face quite well u know..
His treatment overall is not great. Tanking Garps attack is his only good showing, even tho i am pretty sure the damage doesn't transfere 100% to him, based on how his arm got completely destroyed, but he was ''only'' bleeding and the crack sfx was there, so probably his bones got cracked.. Sure you can say Oda wouldn't make his arm explode, but the damage on his real arm still looked far less crazy than what happened to his stone arm.

We also had Capone tanking several of BM's punches and this guy is only a 300mil guy.

And speaking of portrayal, Pizzaro got his arm blown off by Coby...the guy who called Kyros really strong...also seing how many people could blow parts of Pica away, Luffy's G3, Don Chinjao, the King Punch Guy, Sai didn't hit Pica directly, but he damage the mountain where Doffy's house was quite a bit and Zoro.
Outside of Luffy and Zoro, those guys are not really strong and yet they could stil perform that well.
I bring that up, because many people say nobody in the SH's could deal with him outside of M3 - i would agree, but if we think about where the Mid Trio is gonna be at the time they face the BB's, there could be big improvements. And if those not so strong characters from DR can perform similiar feats, i don't think it would crazy to think someone from the Mid-Trio could do something similiar.
Maybe Yamato joins at that point or somebody else. It's also not quaranteed that every SH's is gonna get a 1 vs 1. Pizzaro might be a team effort.

The simple fact is, why would Sanji fight someone with such bad portrayal, getting no diffed in 0.1 seconds by Aokiji, getting his arm blown off by Coby, being threatened by another Crew member and scolded by BB and acting pretty pathetic during it.
Sanji's matchups always got good portrayal and are lifted above the others before Sanji fights them.
Based on that the best fit for that is Laffite, who got no L's (hate this term...) what so ever. But somehow a guy with better portrayal and no L's would fight a Weak-Trio member? It simple doesn't make any sense.
Aokiji would be the best one, but his position is questionable.

given he these guys are going to keep going stronger
I don't think they will. They are all in or past their prime and got only stronger when they got a DF, but some of them might already had their DF before joining BB.

Wouldnt the Woman Battle(obvious in my opinion) nami vs devon be more fitting
Yeah, but since Lafitte is the navigator and he's got some weird bird fruit, that makes him ideal to be either Nami or Sanji's opponent, since those two are the only ones in the crew capable of flight, what with Nami having Zeus now. Plus, IF Lafitte has a mythical bird fruit that can control the weather, like the Shangyang, Thunderbird or Tengu, then that would potentially make him an ideal Nami opponent. But if he doesn't, then he's all Sanji's. Also if Lamato or Carrot join the crew in the future, they can be Devon's woman battle.

I never understood the Nami vs Lafitte take. Oda always goes out of his way to avoid her having to fight men because he doesn't like to draw men beating up Nami. Yet she's gonna fight Lafitte just because they're both navigators? I don't buy it.

The role thing has to have a narrative purpose. When we think of Chopper vs Doc Q, it's pretty easy to see the narrative appeal in both of them being doctors and facing each other. But how is Lafitte being a navigator gonna matter against Nami? Like Oda somehow will come up with a twisted and immoral way of navigating a ship to create a contrast with Nami or what?:suresure:

People don’t like Parallels to be treated like exact copies of the previous gen but Coby and Luffy dont have any similarities to Garp and Roger. There’s literally zero similarities in the dynamic.

“A little different” my ass

Then fuck Loki then. Let him stay on Elbaf because I want those damn SH vs BB one-on-one fights.
I think we will get at least 2 fights between the crews.

One they and the Saint Red hair Pirates lose because Blackbeard defeats Luffy and Saint Shanks dies covering their escape, and one they win with Grand Fleet and/or allies supporting them.

I could see Blackbeard steal Imu's power and transform his strongest subordinates into new Elders and the rest into Knights - all immortal and requiring CoC to defeat.

If his unknown winged devil fruit can influence the weather, then it would be a weather vs weather fight. Maybe even Angel vs Witch. :ohreally:
