I think its taking damage. Then if you are between two DRed people you get DRed as well. One of the giants had a line about them transforming because they were between Dorry and Broggy.

There will be a counter but it’s pretty much guaranteed that the Nika fruit is the only one

Probably Yami too actually since it’s probably a devil fruit ability

• the person is given a command
• the person is wounded. "accept my power". blood drawn
• imu states the terms of the contract
• then seals the contract
