He simply took their best attacks, regen and then played mind games with Xebec and Domi Reversei him.

Xebec could slow down/block Garling regen with basic moves, I wonder if Imu is legit immortal (like Ope Ope was used on him) or it works differently the stronger you are

Regen stuff is always too inconsistent. Its unfortunate Oda went this route for the final war.

The HKs immortality come from Imu. They use his power as a source when Imu is actually immortal. He is the source of the immortality, so it makes sense imo if it's harder to bypass it if it's even possible at all without hax(reverse immortal surgery with ope ope no mi or yami yami no mi)
