Imu is the source of regeneration as someone who has used Ope's peak ability on himself so it's expected for him to not be affected with just any level of CoC, also nothing shows that there's a difference between immortality gained between others.

Imu isn't there physically, obviously he wouldn't use his fighting style on somebody else body. Now in person we saw Imu eating Sabo's attack with ease. Nobody is ready for Imu in person. We saw how big the freaking Gorosei were, and Imu in silhouette was like 3 times biger than them

What does a character’s physical size have to do with their fighting ability? Lol

The Gorosei were garbage fighters themselves, they were objective immortality merchants coasting off of busted fruits, but their actual fighting prowess was trash.

I see no evidence that Imu is any different so far. No proof he isn’t just some dumb scrub coasting off his regen and some hax powers lol.

At first I thought this scene existed to keep crying baby Shanks from giving away their position, but now I'm realizing LOda probably did this as a homage to Dragon Ball, where if baby Shanks hadn't gotten bopped on the noggin, he would've grown up to be as evil as his brother.
