The phrase "I will die" is clearly sarcasm. Sanji knows he won't die and neither will King let him go. No one dying willingly banters with the enemy, calls him bird bastard and and expects them to talk it out.

Sanji’s chances Of fighting King are the same as the Scabbards actually beating Kaido. These are only the warm up clashes right now. Once we hit Act 4 then we’ll see the real fights.

Sanji did good this chapter saved Momo successfully.

finally, in regards to King vs Sanji highly doubt it's happening at the moment seems like a small clash and Sanji couldn't even make him budge + they landed in Zoro's area excited for the next chapter.
