???? He stopped fighting him very recently.
No, renounced violence like 30 years ago

you’re forgetting that he went to the reverie because he had already renounced violence a long time before that

Harald has more or less been the same power level for several decades now… Yet he is somehow always equal to Rocks the entire time

This, people just overthink things @Kurozumi Wiwi @EmperorKinyagi

If we take powerscaling glasses off It’s much easier to reconcile this then an active pirate who didn’t have a crew yet remaining at the same strength level through his career of almost two decades.
Whitebeard was active for 30-40 years after his stated prime at 38 but never changed in strength.

I don’t think it’s very difficult to say someone stagnated, like how are you supposed to grow if you’re the strongest on the seas?

The fact that his entire goal is to embrace diplomacy, abandon conflict, and transition Elbaf to a land of peace
Being peaceful ≠ Weaken your individual might.

I’m talking within the flashback he fought Xebec recently.

People have different caps.

I believe it depends on the individual. Rox was still holding a sword in the picture we saw after he renounced his people’s history of violence, he might have been training himself while being peaceful.

Why not? Aramaki and Issho were "civilians" just 2 years ago yet they're considered at their prime. If Xebec turn to 50 something on GV, he was a 100% in his prime during the reverie

I think those two got stronger after they joined the navy.

I believe humans exit their primes around their early 60s but when they enter it is dependant on the individual.
Yeah but if it depend it can be argued Xebec peaked earlier for story reason.
After all Luffy is going to be in his prime in his early twenties.
There's just no much basis to Xebec getting stronger aside from "he should", Oda didn't even modify his design like he usually does to show a character growth.
Staying Harald's equal would suggest the growth was minimal

I understand your POV. I think the Harald thing was just Oda showing how strong Harald was and kept up with Xebec through the laters active career as a pirate.
