Hmmmm interesting convo between Imu and Xebec....do you guys think Imu is " the original one " or someone who inherited the " will of MU " ? Cuz he said Joyboy and Davy Jones can never appear again meaning that when someone inherits their will they are kinda reborn ?
In case of Joyboy it already happened and he aknowledged Luffy as the new Joyboy in Egghead
Teach has not yet been aknowledged as Davy Jones, and it kinda makes sense since their actions have been weird according to Saturn and Katarina's convo
so they don't know yet that he is after " the world ", now Imu called Xebec " Davy Jones " meaning that it's a requirement to be aknowledged as him, however Xebec seem to have " denied it " but i guess it's because as Imu said those who bear the name of D don't fully remember it's purpose so Xebec's knowledge might have hit it's limits

I think it's because Davy Jones himself isn't that well-defined of a character in folklore.
The actual nautical legend is about Davy Jones' locker first and foremost, and who Jones himself is can range from another name for the biblical prophet Jonah, to him being the devil of the sea.
PoTC basically defined the character as his own entity, distinct from the locker.
